This Privacy Policy explains how BookTkit (“BookTkit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you browse events, create an account, make a booking, manage an event, contact support, or otherwise use our website and services. By using BookTkit, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Depending on how you use BookTkit, we may collect:

• Account information such as your name, email address, phone number, login details, and profile information.
• Organiser information, including business, contact, identity, and onboarding details needed for event management and payment setup.
• Event, booking, attendee, ticket, selected-seat, cancellation, and refund information.
• Transaction references, payment status, amounts, and limited payment-method information supplied by our payment provider.
• Device, browser, IP address, usage, diagnostic, cookie, and similar technical information.
• Messages, support requests, feedback, and other communications.

We use information where reasonably necessary to:

• Create and secure accounts and provide requested services.
• Process bookings and generate tickets, QR codes, and receipts.
• Help organisers publish events, manage attendees, and view booking reports.
• Communicate booking updates, service messages, and support replies.
• Prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate bookings, and security incidents.
• Operate, analyse, troubleshoot, and improve the BookTkit platform.
• Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We process booking details such as the event, ticket type or selected seats, attendee information, price, booking status, and ticket or QR identifiers. These details are used to confirm the booking, support entry, handle cancellations or refunds, and maintain transaction records.

Payments may be processed by Razorpay or another disclosed payment provider. Payment credentials are entered into the provider’s secure payment flow. BookTkit receives transaction references and status information needed to complete and reconcile the booking, but does not require you to provide full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or OTPs to BookTkit support.

BookTkit may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect the service, understand usage, and measure performance. Event organisers may also configure disclosed analytics or marketing pixels on their event pages.

You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account, booking, or security features from working correctly.

We may share relevant information with:

• The organiser of an event you book, so they can operate the event, verify entry, communicate necessary updates, and handle support.
• Payment, email, hosting, storage, analytics, fraud-prevention, and other service providers acting for the platform.
• Authorities, regulators, courts, or professional advisers when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.
• A successor organisation in connection with a merger, restructuring, financing, or transfer of the platform, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No online service is completely secure, so users should protect their credentials, use trusted devices, and notify us promptly of suspected account misuse.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain booking and financial records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Information may be deleted, anonymised, or securely archived when it is no longer required.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion of information that is no longer required, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a privacy grievance.

Some information must be retained for security, transaction, dispute, tax, or legal purposes. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

BookTkit is not intended for children to independently create accounts, make payments, or publish events where consent from a parent or lawful guardian is required. Individual events may have separate age restrictions, which are shown on the event listing. If you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

BookTkit may link to or integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, maps, social platforms, or organiser websites. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. Review their policies before submitting information directly to them.
