Create an Account
Register with an email address you can access, complete verification, and sign in. Keep your account details current because booking notices, attendee questions, and operational alerts may be sent to the registered contact information. From your account, choose the option to become an organiser and open the organiser dashboard.
Complete Your Organiser Profile and KYC
Add accurate organiser and business details, contact information, and payout information. Complete the Razorpay onboarding or KYC steps shown in the dashboard. Verification is normally required before publishing paid events and receiving proceeds. Ensure the submitted identity, business, and bank information belongs to the correct organiser.
Create a Regular Event
Choose Regular Event when customers should purchase a ticket category or quantity without selecting individual auditorium seats. Complete the event title, description, image, date and time, venue, entry information, and refund settings.
Add at least one valid ticket type with its price, quantity, sales window, and order limits. Review the preview and save a draft until the listing is ready.
Create a Seatmap / Auditorium Event
Choose Seatmap / Auditorium Event for theatres, stage performances, comedy shows, cultural events, or other reserved-seating experiences. Enter the basic event details and save the event as a draft. Seatmap events use event-specific seats and pricing sections instead of Regular ticket types.
Set Up the Auditorium Layout
Open Setup Seatmap from the draft event. Create a new auditorium arrangement or apply one of your reusable auditorium layouts. Configure rows and seating blocks, and add visual spaces such as aisles, stairs, gaps, and empty areas where needed.
Review seat labels and the stage orientation carefully. Only actual seats become bookable; visual layout spaces are never sold. Block any seats that should remain visible but unavailable for booking.
Add Sections and Pricing
Create event-specific pricing sections such as VIP, Gold, Silver, or Balcony. Give each section a clear name, colour, and price, then select seats in the preview and assign them. Every available seat must belong to a valid pricing section before the event can be published. Prices are tied to this event, so a reused auditorium may have different prices for another event.
Add Cast or Team Details
For Seatmap events, you can add cast, performers, speakers, or team members with an image, name, role, and display order. Use clear, authorised images and accurate role descriptions. Cast details are optional unless your event workflow states otherwise, but they can make a performance listing more informative.
Review and Publish the Event
Before publishing, confirm the event details, image, venue, future date and time, entry instructions, prices, inventory, and refund settings. Regular events need valid ticket inventory.
Seatmap events also need a Seatmap, seats, pricing sections, valid prices, unique seat labels, and a section assignment for every available seat. Held or booked seats cannot exist before initial publication. Complete organiser onboarding and resolve every required readiness check, then publish from the dashboard.
Track Bookings and Sales
Use the organiser dashboard to monitor orders, payment status, sold quantities, Seatmap seat and section details, booking revenue, refund status, and attendee check-in. Apply filters or exports where available for event operations and reconciliation. Treat customer information as confidential and use it only for legitimate event needs.
Check In Attendees Using QR
Open the QR scanner from the organiser dashboard, allow camera access, and scan the attendee’s BookTkit ticket. Confirm that the event and booking details match before admitting the attendee. A valid paid booking can be checked in once; cancelled, refunded, invalid, or already used tickets should not be admitted without authorised manual review.
Refund and Cancellation Basics
Configure a clear refund percentage and cancellation window before publishing. User-initiated cancellations follow the event policy and generally do not return the platform fee. If you must cancel an event, use the organiser cancellation workflow and communicate promptly with attendees so eligible refunds can be processed consistently.
Refunds are not instant. Razorpay, banks, and payment networks may take several working days after successful initiation. Review our Return & Refund Policy for customer-facing details.
Best Practices for Event Listings
- Use a sharp, properly licensed event image.
- Write a clear description covering the experience, schedule, venue, language, accessibility, age limits, and entry requirements.
- Double-check dates, time zones, last-entry time, address, ticket limits, seat labels, prices, and refund terms.
- Keep capacity accurate and block seats that should not be sold.
- Publish only after venue permissions, performers, staffing, safety, and operational plans are confirmed.
- Monitor sales and attendee questions, communicate changes quickly, and keep support contact details responsive.
